On Thursday the 6th of July we will be having a Plant Day to enhance the Year 1 Science Curriculum. Seasons Garden Centre will be coming in to deliver a talk to the children on outdoor plants and will be planting seeds with them.
We will be extending the childrens’ learning further by discussing how vegetables grow and making a healthy snack. Children will also be involved with creative activities looking at the art work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo and creating pictures in the environment using only natural resources. We will end the day with some fun games activities.
As there will be a lot of outdoor activity on the day, please can children come to school in trainers and shorts. School uniform t-shirts are to be worn. Please also ensure that your child has a sun hat and a water bottle on the day.
