After three previous attempts, Reception children finally managed to go on our visit to Chatteris Library! It was definitely worth the wait.
We had some amazing parent helpers and school staff who helped walk the children safely to the library. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Jane who works there. She welcomed us in and told us all about how we can join the library for free. Did you know you can borrow up to 12 books at a time?
We learnt about all the different sections in the library then we had to do a special treasure hunt to find all of the areas Jane had taught us about. She then read us a book called ‘I don’t like books. Never. Ever. The End’ by Emma Perry and Sharon Davey.
Both Jane and the parents commented on how well-behaved our children were throughout the trip. What great ambassadors they are for Kingsfield Primary School!
