On Tuesday, the children were invited into school wearing odd socks. This was to mark the start of Anti-bullying Week and to celebrate differences and promote kindness and respect. The day began with an assembly delivered by Mrs Ellis and Ms Lucca. During the assembly, children were taught the definition of bullying:
- It is intentional.
- It is repetitive.
- There is an imbalance of power.
They were also taught that bullying is not a one-off event or when you have had a disagreement with someone. Classes are now creating their own 'trusted adults' list in the form of a poster and Mrs Ellis and Ms Lucca will feature on this poster as our Anti-bullying Champions.
