Some fantastic artwork was produced last week, with Year 6 using chalk and charcoal to create different shading and tones in the style of Degas and Renoir. Year 4 have been learning about design and elements such as line, colour, shape, form, space, texture. They have focused on Matisse up to now and learned that when he was older, he couldn't paint anymore. Instead, he did what he called 'cut-outs' which we know as collage. A picture called Les Cadomas inspired the children to create their pictures.
